This isn\u2019t a new concept and probably isn\u2019t foreign to any of us. We see it modeled throughout Jesus\u2019 ministry and there are plenty of books and online resources on the topic. But as long-term Church leaders, sometimes it\u2019s easy to lose sight of \u2013 and disconnect the reality of our ministry from \u2013 the reality of servanthood. After a while, you know all the right answers and forget to take off the rose-colored glasses.<\/p>\n<p>With this in mind, every once in a while I find it helpful to revisit a series of questions that Holy Spirit gave me to re-center with. And today, I want to share those questions with you! These questions aren\u2019t simply a list to read through, but a diving board into a pool of self evaluation. Reading through but not giving mental space to truthfully answer these questions will not effectively allow the questions to bring any life to you.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"14-questions-of-integrity\">14 Questions Of Integrity<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>Have I bought into the American dream more than the Father\u2019s heart?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Am I after a specific lifestyle rather than after Jesus?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Am I caught up in \u201cthe grind\u201d and missing the Kingdom?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Do I feel pride in my \u201cweighty words\u201d more than the weight of His glory?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Am I more passionate about a cause than I am about Christ?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Am I striving to maintain or achieve a status or am I at peace with where He has me?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Do the stats and numbers reflect my time spent working more than my time spent with Christ?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Has my pursuit of His Will surpassed my pursuit of relationship with Him?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Am I more expectant of future income from my endeavors than His provision?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Do I reserve a portion of \u201cmy gift\u201d for people of \u201chigher value\u201d?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Is any person more \u201cvaluable\u201d or \u201cworth my time\u201d than another?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Is it up to me to ensure that \u201cGod is glorified\u201d?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Do I find myself in the experience of enduring rest?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Is my aim disciples of Christ or disciples of myself?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p class=\"\">As Worship pastors and leaders, we are called to servant leadership.
