When we don’t prioritize meaningful conversation with the people we’re serving, we take on an un-Christlike form of leadership. Jesus’ main medium of ministry was conversation. He created open spaces to ask questions and gain new understanding of the nature of God.
When Holy Spirit is involved in the planning, neither planned nor spontaneous need rationed. When we allocate Holy Spirit to spontaneity, we hinder our understanding of God and how He can use us. But when we box God into what we have on the calendar, we limit the facets of God that He wants to reveal to us.
