Questions To Re-Center Your Ministry

As Worship pastors and leaders, we are called to servant leadership. This isn’t a new concept and probably isn’t foreign to any of us. We see it modeled throughout Jesus’ ministry and there are plenty of books and online resources on the topic. But as long-term Church leaders, sometimes it’s easy to lose sight of – and disconnect the reality of our ministry from – the reality of servanthood. After a while, you know all the right answers and forget to take off the rose-colored glasses.

With this in mind, every once in a while I find it helpful to revisit a series of questions that Holy Spirit gave me to re-center with. And today, I want to share those questions with you! These questions aren’t simply a list to read through, but a diving board into a pool of self evaluation. Reading through but not giving mental space to truthfully answer these questions will not effectively allow the questions to bring any life to you.
